The Soulful Journey
In a quiet home in Singapore, a little girl once sat captivated by melodies on television, softly humming along to tunes she could not yet name. While other children played, Mithra listened—especially when classical music filled the room. Her parents, Pradeesh and Soumya, noticed something rare in her eyes and voice: an instinctive connection to music that felt innate, almost remembered rather than learned. That was the beginning of a journey shaped by faith, discipline, and love.
Rooted in the cultural legacy of North Malabar, Mithra grew up bridging continents and traditions, carrying her heritage with quiet pride. Her musical path was guided by Guru Shri Pranavam Madhu in vocals and Smt. Mercy George in veena, and later enriched by the blessings and advanced training of Padma Bhushan Dr. T. V. Gopalakrishnan and Shri Baiju N. Rajeeth. Under their guidance, music transformed from curiosity into devotion.
By the age of ten, Mithra delivered a full two-hour Carnatic concert, marking her as a young prodigy with remarkable maturity. In just two years, she has completed over 50 stage performances across India, UAE, and Singapore, performing on prestigious platforms such as the Soorya Festival, Sivagiri Pilgrimage, Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Bekal Gokulam Gosala, and Kovaiyil Thiruvaiyaru. She has released devotional albums, contributed vocals to multiple recordings, and continues to share her art with global audiences.
Mithra’s journey has also been recognized by the media and cultural institutions. She has been featured on Amrita TV and NTV, showcased in Excel Edu magazine, and appeared on UAE’s Hit FM “Kids Got Talent.” She is also a recipient of the Bharat Sevak Award for her contribution to cultural and social enrichment—an honor that reflects her growing role as a young cultural ambassador of Indian classical music.
Today, while studying in the 7th standard at GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai, Mithra balances school, friendships, and a gentle love for animals—especially her neighbor’s dog, Burfi – with hours of dedicated practice. Yet, beyond stages and accolades, she remains a child who finds her truest joy in the quiet dialogue between heart and melody.
In every note she sings and every string she touches, Mithra carries innocence, devotion, and the timeless soul of Indian classical music—emerging as a young torchbearer of tradition, guided by mentors, supported by family, and driven by a profound love for sound and silence alike.
